Bodog Poker Open II Main Event

A total of 477 online poker players entered the $500 buy-in tournament, including many of the world’s best online poker players, and in the end - it was Arik *zubs1aa* Marks, of Cambridge, Mass., who outlasted the field to win the huge $75,000 first-place prize.

*Zubs1aa* Wins Bodog Poker Open II Main Event - Congratulations!

Arik *zubs1aa* Marks took advantage of Bodog’s daily online qualifiers and won three separate $100 satellites on Saturday, giving him his Main Event buy-in plus T$1,000. Prior to Sunday’s night’s big event, Mark had already racked up two cashes in the Bodog Poker Open II series, including a seventh place finish in Event No. 5 on October 1. He also grabbed a third place finish this week in Bodog’s weekly $1,500 guaranteed event.

(The Bodog Poker Open II was the biggest poker tournament series in Bodog history, and we’re thrilled to have Arik Marks become its biggest winner).

Over the past eight days - the Bodog Poker Open II paid out an incredible $737,478 in prize money in 14 tournaments and drew 3,539 online poker players who participated in the unique combination of Championship and Bounty events. The total prize money surpassed the $675,000 awarded in the inaugural Bodog Poker Open, with almost double the number of players coming out for their piece of the prize purse.

With another successful Bodog Poker Open in the books and the poker tournament schedule in full swing, attention in the Bodog Poker room turns to qualifying online poker players for events in the exotic and adventurous locations offered by the European Poker Tour, Word Poker Tour, Asian Poker Tour and others. Qualify online for the EPT, WPT and APT by winning a $12,000 Player’s Choice package. Qualifiers start for as little as $1.
