U.S. drop the anti-online gambling law

The current gambling trade dispute over whether internet gambling should be banned or regulated between the U.S. and Europe has been commented on by the British government. The dispute has been ongoing since Antigua’s World Trade Organisation win over America earlier this year, which opened the opportunity for Europe to demand trade concessions on an annual basis.

British Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform’s attempts to influence US policy towards regulation with the hope that it may lead to the reopening of the world’s most lucrative online gambling market.

The British Government has signaled quite clearly its support for regulation rather than prohibition!
