Internet Gambling Ban Awoke Many American Voters

Barney Frank explained in an interview that he initiated his new bill because he realized, along with many others in Congress, that there were many unhappy voters out there who like to gamble over the Internet. "My colleagues have discovered that there are a lot of our fellow citizens who like to gamble over the Internet and they are very angry," Frank explained, "they used to be watching Texas Hold'em poker instead of CSPAN and now they are watching CSPAN and they are angry at the people who did this." In the interview he made it clear that he and other congressmen understand that there is a large portion of the population who never voted before, who were awakened, who now will vote specifically against the people who supported the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.
